[Milsurplus] Need Power plug for BC-342

Phil,

First, the AC input connector in the RA-20 Rectifier Power Supply is a
standard two-pin male AC connector. Except that it is recessed and the ID of the
connector shell is the problem. Years ago there were a lot of molded AC
extension cords made that worked fine. Today, most two-wire AC cord sockets that you
can still buy are too large in diameter to go into the shell. However,
someone still makes two-wire extension cords with the female contacts on the end of
the plug instead of on the sides. May not be stocked by most hardware stores
but some of the Ace chain are run by people who are willing to special order
items, and their catalog has the cord in it. The female connector has two
molded ears sticking out. These are easily cut off with a good knife and cutting
board. I haven't found a source for the original Hubbel connector.

The coaxial antenna connector is an odd flat contact one, similar to one
sometimes used for crystal microphones and other audio applications, plus some
Eico test equipment. But slightly larger. Very hard to find. I can't recall
ever seeing anything else that it was used on. However, most of the BC-342's
also have a spring-loaded binding post which you can use.

If this were a BC-312 (dynamotor powered), you would need the PL-114
connector for the front. However, unless you are putting together something like the
SCR-399/499-A. you don't really need the connector for a BC-342.
