Hi,
First, I'm new to this list. I'm expecting receipt of a BC-342 in the near
future. The present owner says it looks pretty complete but will need a new
fuseholder (no problem there). Operational status unknown.
But something I'm sure I'll need (after I overhaul and re-cap it) is a power
cord or at least the plug to fit this critter. The manual says the socket
on the radio is a P/N 6Z7589, Connector, male contact, 2 rectangular
parallel contacts. (sounds almost like an AC power plug). What I will need
is the female plug that fits into this socket. (power cord P/N is CD-370).
I'd like the original type plug as I don't wish to jury rig something.
If you have one you'd be willing to part with, please let me know your
asking price shipped to California (95348).
QUESTION 1: What kind of coax antenna connector does this set use? This is
apparently an early model as it also has the noise antenna input.
QUESTION 2:Is there a source for that large connector on the front panel and
would I really have any need for one?
