Add to that Navy Destroyers of the late 50's/early 60's,
especially DDR's. (Radar Picket types) Had two
of those green monoliths in the transmitter room
next to all the grey SRT-14/15/16 sets and the TACAN
xmtr. Looked outa place being OD green....
Got a two week "C" school on them at Newport RI, since
they never taught them at ET school GreatLakes...
Even with them we still had the old TDQ/RCK pair
on the 115-156 mHz band, altho not used much.
Guess those Jerk 27 things were everywhere!
