I had to look it up to be sure, but I remember those little jewels.  The
323 is a lamp with the threaded and knurled base integral.  Some
applications used the 325 screwed into a holder, but the 323 was cemented
into the mount.  My impression is that all the aircraft cockpit panel
instruments in the 40s used this style lamp, but they were 14 or 28
volts, where the 323 is 3 volts.  Don't know if anyone still makes the
assembly, although Chicago Miniature Lamp still lists it.  But, since you
have disassembled it, look for a 324 unbased bulb with wire leads.  Those
are still made, and if you can figure where the connections are made in
that base, that will get you going.
