[Milsurplus] SCR-543

Well, I had a 'new' surplus BC-669 in 1954.  Used it on 160 meters to
talk to a GCA operator in Del Rio training with the U-2 squadron which
went to Okinawa.  Seems like the 669 had dates in the late 40s on the
MFP, etc., but that may be my poor recollection.
