With the word "normally" in there, i'd say "no way".
BTW, the GF's frequency range is actually something like 2-7 MHz
uninterrupted, is it not?
The TBX: adequate radio for landing operations, but power too low for A/G
(voice) liaison?
BTW, have read accounts of Japanese "spoofing" operations, false
messages to aircraft. Maybe this would rule against use of HF for A/G,
too, as Japan had no combat tactical gear for the 100-156 MHz range.
