Dave is right about dehumidifiers. Another good approach is a room air
conditioner with a condensation outlet. Run much longer in the summer,
however. Higher relative and absolute humidity and higher temperature in
summer. Rust formation rate doubles for every 10 degree C temperature rise.
In winter, best to keep area cold and dry rather than warm.
>From long personal experience in Macon GA (Robins AFB). We would generate
several 5 gallon trash cans full of water every day in the summer in a 2,000
square foot B52 flight simulator room. In summer everything rusted and
rotted - winter was bearable.
