Interesting subject.   I have to say that serving aboard ship I never
noticed any of the "inside" electronics suffering one whit from
corrosion, and we had no A/C or filtered air then.....

On the other hand electronics that had semi-outside exposure, such
as Radar repeaters (PPI scopes) in the pilot house or bridge DID suffer
from corrosion, big time.

One would think that having equipment in your house, even if near the beach,
would be safe, especially in today's climate controlled housing....... ?
