That's true.  Most of us who started in the 60's followed in the footsteps of 
those who started in the 50's and late 40's and did our share of butchery.  
Although unlike most, almost from the beginning I thought it worthwhile to have 
the original racks, control boxes and connectors if they could be found.  

One other thing to remember before falling into the trap of today's favorite 
political pastime (rewriting history to make the good guys into the bad guys) 
is that something that's just barely gone into the obsolescent stage isn't 
collectable, it's just old.  Until fairly recently, you couldn't give away the 
pieces of the Korean War FM sets, especially the mounts and control boxes.  Now 
all of a sudden, you can't even find the mounts or the antenna mast sections.  
I posted a note here a few weeks ago looking for an MT-299.  No response 
except for one MT-327.

I have a few BB-212/U's as well.
