Grease is an insulator, use some oxidation inhibitor,
the stuff sold at electrical supply houses for
aluminum wire, it has zinc particles that are sharp
enough to cut through the tarnish and oxidation. Its
a parafin based goo, usually.
OR, if you have a real good electrical supply house
nearby, get some Cool-Amp, its a cold plating,
brush-on stuff,........ they tell me it works,.......
for buss bars and switch gear, not sure about battery
connections.
