Marty,

I found all three volumes using one of the online used book locator type
services. Used book stores list items and then you call that particular book
store to purchase the item. These are must-haves...

U.S.Army in WW-II,The Signal Corps.
          A. The Emergency, by Dulany Terrett.
          B. The Test, by George Raynor Thompson,Dixie R.Harris,Pauline
M.Oaks, Dulany t
Terrett.
          C. The Outcome, by George Raynor Thompson,Dixie Harris,CMH Pub
10-18.

Some other required bookshelf items for the milt radio collector:

ECOM 4451,Nov 1976,History of the Squad Radio. (Hard to find)

Military Communications, A TEST FOR TECHNOLOGY,The US Army in Vietnam by
John D.Bergen, CMH Pub 91-12.(along the lines of the 3 set WWII series)

"Power Up" by Dave Strom "How to make your battery adapters for portable and
miltary radios and other non-military electronics" ISBN # 0-939780-22-4
(out of print, but pdf available for download on the web by the publisher
for free)

Radio News 1942 (Great for old pictures...try ebay...)
Radio News 1943
Radio News 1944

PRC Radio compendium by Dennis Starks (Dennis did a great job on a numerical
listing with each set's details. Available from W7FG)

Vietnam Studies - Communications - Electronics 1962-1970 by Major General
Thomas Matthew Rienzi. Library of Congress card # 71-184863. This is a
small hardback book, part of a whole series of 10 or so books on various
titles. It gives a good historical overview of deploying commo in Vietnam
war.

United states combat aircrew survival equipment by Michael Breuninger.
Softback. Lib Congress #93-90752. While off topic for 3/4 of the book, it
does cover SAR radios from 50's to present in one chapter.

Complete guide to: WWII Military Communications Equipment by Sam Hevener
W8KBF. Softback. (I believe Fair Radio Sales carries this in stock)

I'm probably missing a bunch more in this brief list, but hopefully someone
else will chime in. As you can see, there are many sources for info on US
milt radios. However the data is spread out over a bookshelf and not many
are directly aimed at the collector.

Have never found V1 DURNIT. Hear it writes up largest ever 4-div'n
field exercise in Mississipi & AL in early '41.* That's where, among
things, FM sank AM for field use.
