Nissan  claimed that the Dieppe   raid provided them with the evidence that
there were no better systems the Germans could bring on line to replace the
one that they had  taken out by hacking the power to,

there was no equip captured at Dieppe  but was an important  raid from the
standpoint mentioned above.

they were in great fear that the Germans had an ace up their sleeves
technologically speaking the   they would be forced to show...

Nissan actually nissanthal at that time was to be shot should he become
captured by his fellow raiders.
alas, he knew the secret of the cavity magnetron and  they wanted to avoid a
chance for the Germans to torture it out of him!
