Yes!  I haven't started pulling it apart yet, but looking for a 556 chip is
worthwhile.  The waveform is remarkably good, triangular waves with nicely
rounded tops, a near sinusoidal waveform.  I don't see any obvious
step-functions in the waveform, but with 40 power transistors it may indeed
be complicated.
