Most inexpensive 60Hz inverters can be modified for 400 cycle operation by
changing two caps, one on either side of the 556 chip, I forget the origianl
value, but the replacement is 0.001 pF.  A quick glance wil tell you which
ones to replace.  I modified a couple 300W units I bought at Walmart.
