Ken,  I'm surprised to hear you have such low regard for your fellow
scannerist.  It is amazing to hear that Milcom/Milair monitors are such an
elitist group.  I have alway had the impression it would be a positive thing
to have more people enter the hobby.  Just recently there were complaints
from members of this group that there were not enough posts.  With more
people... more posts. I'm sure there will most likely be more questions from
novices as to who belongs to this callsign or who's on this frequency.  But,
isn't that part of the hobby?  I guess I should feel honored to be a part of
a group that is "smarter than the average scannerland police wanna bees,
etc,etc".  Hopefully, you will do your part to keep the Milcom/Milair
database lame so we can keep these average scannerlanders on the Public
Safety side.

I'm sure this scanner will "dumb down" the hobby even more.  Lets face it on
the milcom/milair monitoring side the folks are much smarter than the
average scannerland police wanna bees, ambulance chasing, or fire bug
photographers.   Now if you give them a scanner so simplistic that they just
have to turn it on and can even monitor milcom & milair, I'm sure we can
expect to see some really challenged individuals entering this
(milcom/milair) aspect of the monitoring hobby.  Hopefully the milcom/milair
data base side will be lame and they will stay on the public safety side !!!

Of course any bets that the updated data base will be for sale on the Uniden
site?!

Can't wait to buy one!!! ;) )
