My take is that MOST (but not all) people that buy 'scanners' are going to
listen mainly to local police, fire etc..
and of that group  SOME will get into the VHF/UHF/ milair monitoring, and a
FEW of those may get into it head over heels like some of those on here.


It is really no different in my opinion than the code free tech license's
who have NO desire to understand how radio works. they wanna talk.
