Here's some tips:

Here's what to bring with you
1. Portable Radio scanner (or 2) ( or 3) (more than 3 would get you
committed to evaluation at the medical tent !! :) ;) ).
2. Extra Scanner Batteries -- batteries always seem to die at the wrong
time!!!
3. Digital camera -- even a less expensive one will give you an opportunity
to snap cockpit pictures and quick comm cards IF available as well as tail
numbers/codes quickly.
4. Extra Camera Batteries -- same reason as #2 above.
5. Appropriate clothing for the weather.
6. Water bottle
7. Sun screen (even on cloudy days)
8. Patience!!!
9. Positive Outlook (you can't control everything, BUT you can control your
attitude to be positive and that this day will be enjoyable whether it's the
weather, crowds, or security interest in you!)

BTW I think most people our curious about the scanners & what you are
listening to especially when the performers are up. When the "wagon guys"
were able to bring their setups into the show area, there were a lot of
people around them who thanked them for the opportunity to be able to hear
what was going on in the cockpit in addition to what the announcer was
saying....
