Well said Ted. Of course, it's been said many times before,
but still, well said....

I agree wholeheartedly.

That's one of the reasons why when I'm streaming audio from
my scanners I'll occasionally include federal frequencies, as
well as, milair. If it's NOT scrambled, it's mine, and everyone
elses' to listen to, IMO.

In regards to the continuing spread of paranoia, there's a
bumper sticker that I recently found available online that says
"Your Security Is Stepping On My Freedoms". I'm considering
purchasing it. We walk a fine line with security of our nation.
And I don't have the solution...., but I feel it could be handled
much better, where everyone is not considered "suspicious".
Just because someone wears a black overcoat or a gal
paints their nails black doesn't mean they're a Satanist.
Fear comes from the unknown. We are the catalyst of our
own fears. And fears (and those that force it down our throats),
breed paranoia in our society. And our society becomes
"sheeple", and we follow the most outspoken voices (even if
they are dead wrong), simply because we see our friends and
neighbors doing the same, and we don't want to see ourselves
as "different" from the norm.

I obviously don't want to start a pissing contest over this
matter (which has been done numerous times as well),
but that's just my .02 on the subject, FWIW.

Now back to monitoring ....<soapbox off>........
