I'm not quite sure what the point is here. The original topic here had
nothing to do with a national magazine or some challenge with specific rules.
My understanding of the original question was not that these names for
frequencies were used nationwide, but that they were used at all, and as far
as I am concerned, that question has been answered. They ARE used, and they
are used in New England. Do all pilots or units use these terms, obviously
not. Do some units use these terms? Obviously they do, and I think that was
the original point here.
The thing that confuses me is why this topic seems to generate such
controversy.
