George:

There are some folks on this list or are lurkers and never seem to
contribute anything worthwhile BUT always seem to want to critize others
that posts -- they are the so called MILCOM net experts!!!

HOWEVER, another problem with this list is that there's a fair number of non
hobbyists who belong to this list and DO have OTHER (Non- Hobby Monitoring)
agendas!!! Also ANYONE can do a search on the archieves without even
belong to the list! (that's why there's some private invitational only
hobby monitoring lists that have organized to prevent problems, e.g.
archieves are restricted to members & new members must be nominated by
someone who knows them!!!).

If it's unencrypted over the airways, it's fair game to be found & reported
to a hobby group of listeners UNLESS IMHO it would violate national
security/current wartime operations!!!

As far as encryption goes, it's highly doubtful that the Blue Angels would
install that equipment because again that adds to the security support
requirements & it's just one more thing they would have to worry about
during a show performance.

The Blue Angels' job is to portray the Navy/Marine Corps in a postive light
to aid in recruiting & overall public relations -- They should be very
careful what they say in public, and using an unencrypted aero radio (on ATC
or tactical frequencies) is in a public venue!!!
