Well, on the other hand......

The point that needs remembering is the other thread on
scanners and other equipment at airshows. This kind of thing
can increase the number of shows that restrict them by virtue
of association with this kind of thing, were it to go bad.
It certainly won't foster any good will between the hobby
and the military aviation community.

And as for "reporting news", that's the same kind of BS I hear
all the time in my other hobby, railroad scanning and photography.
Christ, I do this and other diversions for fun and relaxation,
not out of any sense of duty or obligation. That's called a job.
Besides, I'm sure many of you know the law better than me, but I 
thought it "was against the law" to repeat/report verbatum anything 
heard over the airwaves anyway?
