If UN inspectors are forbidden from encryption when doing weapons
inspections, how could they possibly have had any chance of success
when the Iraqis .. just by listening in.. would know their every move
in advance? How could they ever hold surprise inspections at places
where they suspected the Iraqis were hiding WMD? Sounds like a
process that was doomed from the start. No wonder the Bush admin.
had no hopes that the UN could do their job effectively.
