[MCARC] Tower at Sheriff's office

Well Mike was not at the last meeting we had at Landoll Lanes so I should include this info about the meeting.  I presented the information to all and at the meeting there were about 9 people and when I asked for suggestions, they just agreed to do what I proposed.  If I have misinterpreted anything please let me know and we will bring the subject up again for review.... Dennis

  I'm not sure I understand the note from Dennis and he may be saying the same thing but my view is that we don't need a radio station or tower/antenna at the sheriff's office as it has not been used in many years that I'm aware of. The antenna has been broken for at least 3 years or longer and I'm not sure when the last time we manned the station for either WX or an emergency. I know that I have not been over there on WX days in at least 15 years. I think the club would be better off is we got the money for tower and antenna and let the county purchase their own and I would bet that they would load it up with their antennas as before Perhaps this should be a club decision and not anyone's individual suggestion.
