Thanks for the input Lawrence, I am expanding your observation, to apply 
to my original plan to rely on the Transceiver / Argo as a FSM. I am 
thinking it would be under the same influence.

I have the ability to locate the receiver / computer 5 miles away, in my 
mothers house, with Argo screen captures uploaded to the internet.

Would I have a realistic measurement of beacon performance without local 
cable or ground loops?  Would that distance experience any propagation 
influences?
