Ive found field strength meters close to the tx site and with nearby cables can be awfully misleading. if I mistune the large MF vertical or the 136 loop signal strengths in the shack and adjacent areas actually increases due to feeder radiation. Probably fine away from unwanted coupling but would love one say 1 mile or kilometer away

My FSM was made from junk box parts. L & C chosen to resonate at EAR's frequency
and a 1N34 diode to a 50 uA. meter movement. I have short whip antenna on it and a
connection to ground.
