Pleased to find Curacao coming through briefly at 0114Z over Wiarton on
518 kHz Navtex. Otherwise a down night with only Long Beach decoding
from the West Coast. That was surprising because on 474.2 kHz
propagation was good enough to decode VE7BDQ and WH2XGP. Copied lowfer
WM at the watering hole through much of the night and SJ briefly before
sunrise, despite SIW blasting in on ground wave from 23 miles. MP and
EAR are coming in fine as usual. VLF signals last night were good to
Europe, though not nearly as impressive here as all the activity shown
on the KL7L grabber and with SNRs no doubt well below those seen by
Mike. Morning enhancement gave best copy this season of the alpha trio
below 15 kHz.
