[Lowfer] RSGB LF Reflectors

My recollection of the events ...
The problem started with a Blacksheep outage that lasted about a day. This prompted those that have
long wanted to move to Yahoo to spring into action ... again. This time was different in that they
went ahead and set up the Yahoo reflector, got a few people to move over to it and then DEMANDED
that Blacksheep be shut down! This, without any input from the membership of Blacksheep. It was
clear from the discussions that followed that the most active members (those that are actually
transmitting and receiving on a regular basis) wished to stay with Blacksheep as it better served
their needs ... without the 'baggage' that came along with Yahoo. It was at that point that some
were unable to unsubscribe from Blacksheep because they either forgot how to unsubscribe from
Majordomo or had since started using 'alias' e mails. After considerable back and forth it was
decided to let both reflectors run and see what happened.
Since I've remained subscribed to both I can see what has happened. The most active members (those
that are actually transmitting and receiving on a regular) basis have remained with Blacksheep and
post their exploits there. A few also post this information to Yahoo. Some Yahoo subscribers cut and
paste from Blacksheep over to Yahoo to try and keep that group up to speed ... although this
activity has diminished of late. Those that decided to go with Yahoo only are not getting the full
information of what's happening on the bands.
