Hi Bill, Lowfers,

Sounds just like a system about 15 milers from here.  It dates back to to early 20s and originally powered a saw mill.
I think it has about 15 feet of head and the penstock pipe is about a foot in diameter going to the turbine.  The owner
is totally off-grid for his home and shop.  Thanks for the info!
