Hi JB,
I'm responding to the group because there may be some interest from others out there. I was fascinated by this hydro set-up because it looks like just about anyone with electro/mechanical experience could keep it running. What a beautiful location, too, having a mill pond, waterfall, and surrounded by mountains! I'm not sure if it is rated a mini-hydro, but I can check on this, as I have the guys Email address. It was built about 30 years ago and hasn't been operational for 18 years - although only a bearing problem shut it down. The son of the original builder has taken over and they are very close to getting it back on line.
