Thanks Laurence- I have experienced an occasional scramble too .

Do you have a preference on USB programming devices ? I still keep an old slow computer around with all of the different ports . I use it mainly for programming radios , especially Motorola . They still like slow machines .

I need to upgrade some of my programmers for my other projects to work on XP and 
Windows 7 with a USB interface .
