NDBs are very loud here tonight. No new ones yet, except one I have
not yet made out, it's behind Hopey (PPI) on 400 KHz.
OK. I made some decent progress. It took some poking around, but I got
the divide by chip and the oscillator to play together. Here are some
photos:

Not shown is my four-year-old lab assistant, who thought the
oscilloscope and the sine wave were pretty cool. Keeping him away from
the knobs on the power supply was quite difficult.
I'll get the PA finished in the next several days. Thanks again to all
who responded, it resulted in my learning enough to get this far.
Take care,

My thinking was that I could replicate the Epson oscillator "test bed" he made, then move on to trying the simple lowfer transmitter. In my usual haste, I missed the project a little down the list, which uses the divide by ten counter. Thanks to all who pointed that and other relevant details out. I'm going to spend a little more time trying to get the '4060 to work, because heck, I have a few of them and the oscillators I bought were intended to fit that divide ratio. And it's too snowy and rotten outside to do what I was really planning to do. I'll report back.
