Yes, a lot of open ends on this matter. Great on finding Ralph's piece on the Argo home site. I recall Ralph doing the piece for the HP SLM but not the Argo info. I'll print that one out for the software file here.

It is also hard to give advice not knowing the the intended listener's current understandings and intended equipment. That's where Ralph's piece shines, taking one through various receivers and their lack of merits for weak signal work.

However, the recent post of Brian indicates some success in finding the MP beacon. So now "he's hit a run and on base."

   You are of course correct . However the article does give a good 
explanation of ARGO and the calibration for a sound card . I have used the 
procedure for whatever receiver I am using at the time . I do have an R-75 , 
so it was most useful for it .

   I am not at all familiar with the receiver that Brian mentions .
