[Lowfer] /16... CW (heard in NE Oregon)

Ok Steve, Mike,

I also had my ear to the speaker last night listening to 600M and trying to sort out the many beacons. But unlike Steve, I latched on to the WEs as Mike's /16 (who else?), catching them way before a solid "/16" arrived--always a clash on the long characers!!

Here's an idea for the beacon zars, adopt a "nick name" like Mike. It takes the agnst out of waiting for that slash something and repeat and repeat. Dex does it with Vs, that's fine. Unique station used to do that, but with 600M the same call is sent, and it's a long one, meaning wait, wait.

Thursday night static was high but I eventually had /6 on 506.350 at 0445 
utc; usual strong /12 at 0449 utc on 505.40; and after 20 minutes of 
listening, /16 at 0526 utc on 507.00. Note to Mike: please change beacon 
message to something useful!! Sending 99 " WE"'s conveys no useful 
information, <...>
