Good and timely information on the Feit Electric daylight CFLs, Mike. Need
to see if I can find some. I'd been looking to replace the floodlamps in my
outdoor motion-sensing fixture because every leaf that blows past (and we
have a LOT of wind in Kansas) presently lights up a pair of 75 watt lamps
for up to 5 minutes, and the CFL floodlamp replacements I'd seen in the
stores didn't look too promising.

It might be worth mentioning to anyone considering CFLs in photocell
controlled fixtures...an all-on/all-off (ie, relay operated) switch is OK,
as motion-sensing fixtures also use. All you have to worry about in that
case is the weather resistance of the lamp. However, some very simple
photocell fixtures are basically just LASCRs, whose output is proportional
to the "available darkness" and is therefor not always the full cycle of the
AC waveform. That's very bad for the electronics in the lamps and is not
great from an RF perspective, either.
