Ed,

Interesting on the dad, but was it that he wasn't a good teacher or was
it the slow, prodding speed? I know I don't copy slower code well. I
have a comfort zone with allowances for the sender's style, phrasing,
and any QRM.

Your other point on the son's "25 per," was that with a bug or
electronic paddles or what? I hardly think a straight key, but....
