Peter, Peter, Peter.  Contrary to popular opinion, we loopers are not out to 
throw a monkey wrench into all 'vertically-challenged' operator's equipment 
- and this includes variometers. I'm not aware of the exact dimensions of 
this variometer, but apparently it's so big that he picks up Dex by sticking 
his head inside.
