[Lowfer] confusion

I'm not sure, but I think the 22 gauge solid copper wire running up my 
mast is broken about 8' from the top.

If I had it to do over again (which it looks like I may) I would have used 
heavier wire and/or tie-wrapped more often (closer together).

During the month of March I watched a segment of that wire whipping in the 
breeze...vibrating is more like it.  It looked like a plucked guitar 
string.  I'm thinking it may have broken where the vibrating wire was 
clamped with a tie wrap.

The reason I suspect this is my finals are warm and I can't seem to tune 
the antenna -- acts weird.

I hate to pull the vertical down and find that it is NOT broken, but 
something seems to be up...
