When I setup to receive VD, WA, and TAG I usually steer my
K9AY pattern for the best signal from the NDB beacon JF 373 Khz.
located near Rockaway Park on Long Island NY. I can copy him
all day everyday. Today I found I can also copy NDB TBY 257 Khz
which is located near Middlebury CT. This is about 17.3 miles south west of
your QTH.
This not only allows me to steer the pattern closer to you but is a good
band condition
indicator. His signal is weak but I can copy the ID by ear at 1530 local.
Your signal
is just barely visible now.
