Gentlemen,

I assure you that in W1VLF the ICEMAN has not cometh.

I guess what I mean is this ICEMAN, this coolest of cucumbers, this so
called CO2 of the beacon world,
residing on the afore mentioned frigid frequency is not I.

I am too depressed to invoke such merriment.  All of my antennas are dead or
dying.  They lay at my feet as lifeless as the ashes front last years
woodstove.
There are no trees tall enough in my 2 acres of woods erect that most noble
of antennas.... The Ashlock Loop.

However I will strike out tomorrow with my pole in hand and once again
fishing in the trees.

My antennas sleep with the fish.

I think this the shy one, alias Mister USA, or the renowned "VLF". He
appears to drop out when I rotate the loop 90 deg from the assumed heading.
By the magnitude of the signal at 115mi it appears that he has finally
figured out how these loops actually work!

John/Jay: Do you concur?

PS: This loop is terrible for noise compared to the tree probe unless I
position it N/S. This must have been the reason I always had to wait until
midnight to see much. I have to locate it in the woods to get away from the
house wiring noise but maybe there's something that the trees do to
introduce noise out there as well. I disconnected the TX loop to no avail.
