Hey Mitch,
I use the BZS Xmit antenna for most of my reception here with great
success. I tune it to 189.9kHz and am able to receive in the entire
Lowfer band. My setup consists of an 18' vertical up to a triangular
tophat. It is a triangular outer shape with horizontal wires extending
from each corner to close to the center of the triangle where the
vertical connects.
My best reception distance is IP at 1404 miles. I hope to see NC show
on the screen this season and anyone else willing to travle the
distance.
I still have not built the single turn Burhans loop yet, I got side
tracked with the GPS receiver and the exciter Lyle just built. Let me
know how well you signal reception is with the vertical compared with
your various loops.
