In series with the top - but mounted almost mid point of the larger coil.
The white pvc extends almost three feet and I keep well away and extend my
arm - trying to keep the body mass ( no comments please ) away from the coil
enclosure. Almost as fun as my first regen receiver when I had a piece of
aluminum foil on the chair - attached to the front panel of the receiver (
Oh darn - shifting into "the good old days mode " ).


 The reason I ask is that I initially had a PVC
> axle on the variometer.  It probably didn't extend out as far as yours.

Don't see any change - but if I move right up to the end of the pvc rod I
can detect a very slight change - strictly body capacity effect.
