I haven't tried mine for RX yet, at least not with a proper antenna.  For TX
however, mine wil TX from 160 KHz to 200 MHz all mode.  I modified it for
the plan of using it as an IF for microwave.  Since I use it for HF Amatuer
radio, I have an SGC-237 autotuner with it, another device not rated blow
1.8 MHz.  Out of the box it tunes 168 KHz to at least 60 MHz.  Interesting
thing...  The tuner requires at least 3 W input to activate, at 168 KHz, my
706 MKII activates the tuner!  Interesting!!

I have yet to do a full blown analysis of these two devices but it looks
promising for TX.
