You may be surprised when you look at the output on a spectrum analyzer.
I checked an IC-735 down to below 200 kHz and was at first elated it would
transmit there.... but was sadly disappointed with the "comb tines" I had
(harmonics) from 180 kHz up to where the LP filter kicked in at above 2.5 mHz.
Turned out that most of the power was in the upper harmonics.  The LF
fundamental signal was about 2 watts.   (total output power at 50+ watts)

Keep in mind also that the solid state amp would not have enough ferrite
or inductance to permit much output at LF.
