[LogPlus] The End

I bought a new TenTec Orion...

LogPlus won't work with many of the newer rigs that weren't around since
Bob stopped updating LogPlus.

I converted my dbf files to adif using BV7 available here:
http://www.df3cb.com/index.html

This conversion works ok if you are NOT a county hunter.

You can export to ADIF, then import the ADIF into Logger32. If there
any rejected rows you will see them in the BAD.ADI file along with an
explanation.

The US county information I was unable to import with BV7. I was going
to write a conversion program but I received an email from a 9K2 that
was on the reflector that already had a program. I remember I needed to
have FoxPro installed on my computer but that was not a problem as I was
taking programming classes and already had it.

I ran his program and was able to import the county information as well.
Unfortunately I did not back up his program and lost the email
information and the program in a hard drive problem. I did have all my
important information (such as my logs) backed up...

Hopefully you do not keep track of US counties and can just import from
BV7.

I was running LogPlus in Windows 2000 Professional so I know it can be
done. If you still have a rig that is supported by LogPlus and don't
want or need some of the fancier features of Logger32 or similar
programs you should be able to just follow the following steps to use
your current LogPlus with Win2k Pro... I just tested this on a Win2KPro
computer with a back up of the PLUSV4 directory I had done in 2000 so I
know it works.

Copy the complete LogPlus directory from your old computer to your new
Win2k computer. My directory is now C:\PLUSV4.

Open notepad.

Type the following:

C:
CD \PLUSV4
DOSLOGAC
LOG UA4RZ

Then Click on Save As, name your file logplus.bat, choose file type all
files and save in your PLUSV4 directory.

Now you should be able to double-click on the logplus.bat icon from File
Manager and LogPlus should start.

Of course this will be a plain icon and you will want a real LogPlus
icon.

Minimize or close any programs you have running, right-click on an empty
part of your desktop and choose new, then shortcut. Then browse to find
the LogPlus.bat file, choose it, create the shortcut. After the
shortcut is on your desktop right-click, choose properties, then change
icon, then browse to the c:\PLUSV4 directory, choose the logplus icon,
click apply and you now have a LOGPLUS icon on your desktop.

Depending on the screen resolution you have set on your computer LOGPLUS
may not look correct. Right click on the icon, choose properties and
toggle between the full-screen, window, and font sizes until you get a
setting that you like. You may have to play around to find the settings
you like the best. I used a window with font size of 20...

Hope this helps,

Hello Jan PA9JJ
Why should I use Logger 32, when I have LOGPLUS version 4.7.
It gives me a screen with all the information I need for a certain DX.
It gives me all the possibllities I need as DX'er. Also hunting islands,
WPX, states, counties and 20 other things.
Thee is no problems in maintenance of new DX-countries, islands,
prefixeses, gray line countries and so on. I can handle it myself. It
does also give all the statistics I need. So why??
