I am happy to have this reflector is still living.
Main problem for all of us is, that Bob do not working anymore over
the Logplus. I have my LOGPlus V4.12 and using this programm still
1994 with QSOs (big job!!) still 1984 and main DXs still 1964 (my
first steps). I have 352 DXCC countries confirmed and almost 2700 in
DXCC CHallenge, 8BWAZ (35 on 160) and etc.... All this statistics is
in LOGPLUS database. I am using two computers - PT1 150 MHz with Win98
and Notebook pt3 800MHz with also 98. Logplus working also in Win 2000
ME for me in my sons computer (ZIPFiles). But mr. Microsoft is going
faster and faster and I need
more modern computer - now I have my next - PT4 with Win 2000 NT PRO
and LOGPLUS is not working - no DOS inside. Now I am thinking about
Microsoft 2005. What happens? If I like LOGPLUS, I need to have old
computers all my future HAM life, hi. It is good for museum, also I
need old radio and old antenna rotors,etc...
I have tryed few more popular programms, like DX4Win, Logger 32,
Log-EQF for Win, DXBase 2005, MixW2, few other little programms and
may say, that LOGPLus is better for me. More convinient, friendly
interface, much more statistics, then in others and very easy to see
it, many other futures in one programm. (But maybe it is because of
DEMO versions????) And in each case I will lose
all my award base.
So, I am not a programmer, only computer user and maybe, I am making
mistakes with an installing LOGPlus into Win 2000 NT, I will try to
find a way, but I know, that LOGPlus is DOS needed programm and no DOS
inside my new computer.
Another way - Bob is my friend and I will try to ask him give me his
main programm files and then I will ask some of my friends in HAM radio
russian programmers to continue Bobs work over Logplus. Maybe it will coast
some maney, but if LOGPlus is still popular, money will come back, I
hope.
Now a question - who will go with me to N7XR - he is not in this
reflector, I think, but I have many friens in Seattle area to ask them
for support.

73!
