Dan, Have you checked the radio's CAT port with another program to be sure it is working? I have had the serial communications port on my FT1000D fail, twice. Like you I thought I had tried everything, so I took the radio to a friend's shack and put it in place of his radio. Then the problem was obvious. Hope this helps. 73, Paul W5PF
