[Logic] SERIAL PORT ERROR?

Hi Bob...
Well, the short story is "no joy" and I am copying Dennis with this message
thread in hopes of help.
Tonight I did the following:
1. Unintsalled Logic7 then ran LOGIC6, same serial timeout error.
2. Uninstalled COM1. Reboot. Same.
3. System Restore back to August, prior to install of LOGIC7. Same.
4. Power up PC first, then rig; then vice versa, no change.
5. Disconnect serial cable, reboot. Reconnect serial cable. Reboot. Same
6. Undo the Syetm Restore. Run LOGIC6. No change.
So...no magic.
While I have no reason to suspect them, this process did not test the rig
interface (FT1000MP), the serial cable, or the PC's serial card. So I will
test those as variables in the error, and will contact Dennis when I can
swear the problem's not my hardware.
Will keep you posted.
