Dear Richard and all:

Thanks for your note.

The problem would be simplified if we
assumend that no one would be using
LOGic while a DST change in the
computer happens. We could simply
read the offset at program startup and
use that.

Howevr, if someone is operating during
the DST changeover event on the
computer, we would have to check the
offset every time we read the clock, which
is about once per second if the Info
window is open. That may not be too
much overhead these days.

Ideally there would be an OCX with an
event triggered BY WINDOWS that would
raise an event whenever someone
changes the UTC offset in the computer
(or it does it itself).

Anyway, your comments are appreciated.
Pse email me directly.

Glad to know that this is apparently the
biggest problem with LOGic at the
moment hihi.

Tnx & 73,

Dennis WN4AZY

Hi Dennis:

Well I started a thread on the Logic
reflector thats becoming heated, which
wasn't the intent.

I know you have let us know your
reasoning in the past, but is there anyway
for Logic6 to look at the pc clock to
update the offset when we change the
clocks due to day light savings time.

Thanks in advance.
