Special Weather Statement
652 PM CDT Sat Jul 14 2007 

...Isolated strong thunderstorms... 

Severe Thunderstorm Watch 571 remains in effect until midnight for
Scotland...Clark...Hancock and McDonough counties. 

At 650 PM CDT...National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
isolated strong thunderstorms south of Antioch in Clark County...and
near West Point and Stillwell in Hancock County. These storms were
moving southeast at around 20 mph and will bring very heavy rain
at rates of over an inch an hour...gusty winds and possibly pea size
hail. An isolated severe thunderstorm will be possible over the
next hour or so over far southern portions of Scotland...Clark...
Hancock and McDonough counties. The severe threat has ended in
areas along and north of a line from Memphis...to Kahoka...Carthage
and Macomb. 

As the storms approach...move indoors. Do not stand by windows.
Unless it is an emergency...avoid using telephones and electrical
appliances until the storm has passed.
