The heat advisory has been extended until midnight CDT tonight.

Hot and humid conditions will linger through this evening. High
temperatures will range from the mid 90s to around 100 degrees.
These temperatures combined with high humidity will produce heat
index values as high as 105 to 110 degrees this afternoon. The
heat index values are expected to slowly cool into the 80s this
evening before falling below 80 degrees after midnight.

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids...stay in an air conditioned
room...avoid the sun...and check on relatives and neighbors.
